It took awhile to get off the mountain. The rainy season has started again which means that in Monteverde the rainy season is actually about 8 months long! Anyway a bus slid off the road making it impossible for our bus to pass.
We had to wait almost three hours for the tractors to come and get traffic moving again. Many people opted to walk which we should have done as the walk would have been about an hour and a half but I guess our optimism got the better of us and we waited it out.
Of course by the time we got to Bijagua they had given away our room so accommodation was interesting to say the least.
Once we got all of the bad stuff out of the way our day at Rio Celeste was amazing!
A bit muddy at times.
Note: when they offer you rubber boots, take them!

But Miguel's friends served us up a great traditional breakfast. Gallo pinto.
