Ometepe home stay

The home stay in Ometepe was not exactly what I had imagined. In India we built these houses, now we had the opportunity to live in one of them. Four walls and a roof, but not much more. No plumbing, only one extension cord for electricity, no appliances or fresh water. Basically it is as bare bones as you could imagine.

Getting cleaned up.

Heading off to school.

A morning at the beach. We stopped off to clean some mangos.

Everyone was doing their laundry on these man made rock islands. These guys brought their horse in to cool off.

Which was a good thing because the horses here are desperately thin and can use all the breaks they can get.
