It was a long journey. The travel day is always a Long day. I had forgotten what a journey it is to get up into the cloud forest.
The scenery is quite different from when I was here last. The heat and dryness of the summer months have taken their toll on the lush green surroundings. In Oct-Dec there was so much rain that even my shoes were growing moss. Now everything has a brownish colour as much of the vegetation has dried up and/or died. The rainy season is just getting started and things will start to return to the deep shades of green I am familiar with.
FNB (Friday Night Burgers) was tonight. I know it's Saturday but the name has already been established. Many of my friends made it out to say hello making it harder to think about leaving the mountain and heading to Nicaragua. We will cross that bridge in a few days, let's see how much we can do in the next week.
